FORT WORTH -- Johnny Walls departed this life Wednesday, April 9, 2008, to be with Christ, which is far better: Philippians 1:23. Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, with Pastor Gregg Bing officiating. Interment: Arwine Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: You may honor Johnny with a memorial to Timely Messenger by Grace Bible Church, 1450 Oak Hill Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, and is sent free to anyone upon request. Johnny grew up in Saginaw, the younger son of Murphy B. and Frances Walls. He graduated from North Side High School class of 1960. "Oh, I never shall forget you dear old school upon the hill." Johnny cherished his high school memories and life long friends. He enjoyed his work as a North Richland Hills police officer. However, he put his wife and children first and returned to Bell Helicopter, retiring after 38 years of service with a host of good friends and memories. Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Sylvia; sons, John Tracy Walls and his wife, Terri, and Todd Walls and his wife, Heather; daughter, Tammy McCrary and husband, Sammy; grandsons, Scott and Dylan McCrary, and Nicolas, Murphy and Brandon Walls; and brother, Jerry Walls and his wife, Carla.
