Alan Simpson

ALVARADO -- Alan Dale Simpson, 64, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.        Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 777 N. Walnut Creek Drive, Mansfield. Viewing: 10 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.        Dale retired from Bell Helicopter after 36 years. He also proudly served this country in the United States Marine Corps.        He was preceded in death by his father, MB Simpson.        Survivors: Wife of 25 years, Doris Simpson; daughter, Whitney Knowles and husband, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. John Knowles; grandson, Peyton Alan Knowles; mother, Margaret Simpson; brother, Kevin Simpson and his wife, Lila; and loving family and friends.
