Allen Knox Holt

Fort Worth - Allen Knox Holt, 58, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Gathering for friends & family: Friday, May 8, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Richland Hills United Methodist Church - 7301 Glenview Dr. - North Richland Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be sent to Boy Scouts of America or the charity of your choice. Allen was born October 11, 1956 in Fort Worth. He was a dear husband, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Allen was an Eagle Scout and graduate of Richland High School and UTA. A proud Richland Rebel, he was on championship basketball and track teams and continued on to play softball with alumni friends. Allen loved all styles of music, especially bluegrass and Texas music, even teaching himself to play guitar. He was a dedicated outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, bicycling, motorcycling, and floating Texas waterways. He was happiest when camping and surrounded by nature. Allen kept a very special place in his heart for his nephews and nieces, taking great pride in their accomplishments. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Allen Knox Holt, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Erica Conger Holt; mother, Charlene West Holt; brother, Joel Holt and sister-in-law, GayLynn Holt; nephew, Garrett Holt, wife Kerri, and their children, Brye and Brynn; nephew, Brock Holt and wife, Lakyn; niece, Shelby Holt and boyfriend, Taylor Basso; aunt, Rosemary West and her family; mother-in-law, Sharon Conger; parents-in-law, Carl and Linda Conger; sister-in-law, Veronica Burns and brother-in-law, Brian Burns; nephew, Ryan Gilbert; niece, Amanda Gilbert and fiancé, Ricky Alvarado; brother-in-law, John Scott; niece, Michelle Scott; nephew, Mark Scott; all the Holt and West cousins and numerous friends.
