FORT WORTH -- Allen Morris Klotzman, 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, died peacefully Sunday morning, July 1, 2007. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary of Beth-El Congregation, 4901 Briarhaven Road. Rabbi Sidney Zimelman will officiate. Burial: Following committal prayers, Allen will be laid to rest in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park. Bearers of the casket will be Bradley Scott Lewis, Laurin Baum, Scott Baum, Stephen Baum, Zachary Klotzman and Ian Klotzman. Honorary bearers will be Leon Gachman, Arnold Gachman and members of the Martin Hochster Jewish War Veterans Post 755. Visitation: His family will receive friends at the temple after 4 p.m. Tuesday with minyan services beginning at 5 p.m. Memorials: Consideration of contributions, in lieu of flowers, to Beth-El Congregation, Community Hospice of Texas or to a charity of one's choice, in memory of Allen, is suggested. A native of Fort Worth, Allen was born Feb. 22, 1922, the son of Irving and Lillian Loeb Klotzman. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in 1940, before attending Texas A&M University. With the onset of World War II, Allen enlisted in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the Corpus Christi Naval Aviation School in 1943. He served in the Atlantic, Pacific and Carribean theaters. Following the war, Allen returned to Fort Worth and joined the family at Martha Washington Candy Co. In 1950, he became an associate with another family company, Gachman Metals, and moved to Lubbock to manage Lubbock Pipe & Metals/Gachman Steel, Pipe and Metals there. Allen and his wife, Frances, whom he married June 1, 1947, returned to Fort Worth in 1972. After retiring from Gachman Metals, Allen, not one to be idle, joined Al's Formal Wear, where he fitted many friends and customers in tuxedos and formal wear. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Frances Ginsberg Klotzman; daughter, Cheryl Klotzman Baum and her husband, Laurin, all of Fort Worth; son, Jeffery Klotzman and his wife, Kim of Lubbock; grandchildren, Bradley Scott Lewis, Scott Baum and his wife, Colleen, Stephen Baum and his wife, Shea, Zachary Klotzman and Ian Klotzman; six great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Klotzman Gachman and her husband, Leon; and several nieces and nephews.Robertson Mueller Harper Funerals & Cremations 1500 Eighth Ave., 817-924-4233 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of ALLEN KLOTZMAN please visit our Sympathy Store.
