Alvie Bell

Alvie Forest Bell was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Emory to Charles and Grace Eatmon Bell. He retired from General Dynamics. He proudly and honorable served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was part of the famous Battle of the Bulge. He was a longtime member of Birdville Church of Christ. Alvie had lived in Fort Worth all of his life until two years ago when he moved to San Antonio to be near his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Alvie Douglas Bell, on Nov. 26, 1999. Survivors: Left to cherish their memories as they mourn his death are his son, Donald S. Bell and wife, Patsy, of Covington; son, Jimmy Dwayne Bell of West Columbia; daughter, Judi S. LeBeouf and husband, Pete, of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Beverly Place Bell; and cousin, Edward Smith.
