Anita was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Fort Worth to Haly and Gladys Parchman. She graduated from Birdville High School in 1936. She attended Texas Wesleyan College and attended and graduated from North Texas Teachers College with a bachelor of music in music education. Anita taught music in school in Nacogdoches. During World War II she worked at Consolidated Aircraft. She was the organist at Midway Baptist Church and in the music ministry of Haltom Road Baptist Church. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Haly and Gladys Parchman. Survivors: Husband of 65 years, Julius Bussey, who was formerly associated with Birdville Independent School District; son, Bill Bussey and wife, Ginger, of Pflugerville; daughters, Judy Weiner and husband, Larry, of Castle Rock, Colo., Janey Gill and husband, Byron, of Marietta, Ga., Gay McCallum and husband, Chris, of Denton and Kim Kearney and husband Sam of Ovilla; brother, Stanley Parchman and wife, Vontilla, of Roanoke; sister, Gayle Guenther of Granbury; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
