CROWLEY -- Anita Louise Fischer, 75, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Aug. 16, 2010. Service: Celebration of life and Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at St. Francis Village Chapel in Crowley. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Francis Chapel Memorial Fund. Anita was born July 24, 1935, to Rudolph and Emma Unger in Allentown, Pa., and was a graduate of Allentown Central High School. Soon after she married John, her lifelong love and husband of 56 years. After traveling the U.S. and most of Europe during John's Army career, they retired to Fort Worth in 1967. She later retired from Northeast National Bank to enjoy her role as grandmother and great-grandmother. She and John continued their love of traveling throughout the U.S., seeing new sights and visiting family. When home, she enjoyed cooking, reading and knitting. Her life was a testament of her love and devotion to her family and friends. Survivors: Husband, John; son, Gary and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Wendi and Gregory; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Chloe and Kailey; sister, Doris Williams and husband, Carl; and many other relatives and beloved friends.
