BEDFORD -- Ann M. Brawner, 76, died at home Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Following a committal service, Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband, Tom, in Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home. Ann was born July 11, 1931, in Ireland, Texas, to George Leroy and Lenora Angeline Bass Massingill. She moved to Fort Worth in the 1940s to go to work for Swift & Co. She then worked for First National Bank and later went to work for the General Services Administration, from which she retired. Ann was very active in the OakCrest Woman's Club and the NARF government employees' retirement organization. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bedford. Survivors: Her daughter, Linda Valentine; grandson, Troy Valentine and his fiancee, Shawna Crean; great-grandchildren, Cameron Valentine and Kevin Crean; brother, J.T. Massingill and his wife, Clydell; sisters, Mert Davis and Tottie Roebuck; brother, Paul Massingill; sister, Mildred Bottlinger and her husband, Merlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
