ARGYLE -- Anna' Maria DeVane, 24, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, from complications following a double lung transplant at Stanford Medical Center Palo Alto. CA. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, with Father Eugene Schnipke celebrant. Visitation: 7-9 P.m. Thursday, Lucas Funeral Home 137 E. Hill St. Keller. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Parkway, Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers we are asking that folks make a donation in Anna's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ( www.cff.org) or to Donate Life America ( www.donatelife.net) and also consider registering as an organ donor. Anna' was a loving daughter and sister, a true and loyal friend and inspiration to many people with cystic fibrosis. Despite her illness she was determined to enjoy life. She had a wonderful sense of humor which she displayed even when she was most sick. Anna's special love was for her dogs and any horse that happened to be in the vicinity. Anna enjoyed horseback riding, travel and making others laugh. She was a music lover and enjoyed attending concerts whenever she had the chance. Anna' was born April 5, 1987, at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC. She enjoyed being an AF brat and being able to live in different parts of the world. In addition to Texas, her favorite homes were in Arizona and Germany. Anna' graduated from Papillion-La Vista South High School in Papillion, NE. She was a student at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Anna was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and grandmother, J.Durwood and Margaret "Rita" DeVane of Burgaw, NC. Survivors: Anna' is survived by her parents, Jonathan and Liza Monreal DeVane and her sister, Rachel DeVane, of Argyle; her maternal grandparents, Anthony and Lina Moreno of Keller and Gabriel Monreal of San Antonio; her aunts and uncles, Paul and Linda DeVane of Satellite Beach, FL, Vicki and Jason Lasley of Quartz Hill, CA, and Melvin DeVane of Burgaw, NC, Angie Monreal, Gabriel Anthony Monreal, and Carlos Monreal of San Antonio. Anna' was also blessed with a large extended family and friends who loved her very much.
