FORT WORTH -- Annas Elizabeth Leach Hunter died peacefully at home Friday morning, Jan. 7, 2011, during her 85th year.        Service: 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper with the Rev. Verne Fuqua and the Rev. Lynn Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, "D," in Rest Haven Cemetery, Brady.        Honorary bearers of her casket will be Bill Carson, Mike Carson, John Hall, Dr. John Hendershot, Jack Hunter, Ed Jolly and Mark Welch.        Memorials: Consideration of contributions to Edge Park United Methodist Church or Community Hospice of Texas, in her memory, is suggested.        Born in Fredonia on April 12, 1925, Annas was the daughter of James Oscar and Gertrude King Leach. She had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1943 and was married to Delbert "D" Hunter for 44 years before his death in 1992.        Annas retired as manager of catalog sales for Montgomery Ward Co. after 40 years of service. She was a former member of St. Paul United Methodist Church before joining Edge Park. Her other memberships included the Southwest Cattle Raisers Association, Farm Bureau, Twenty-five Year Montgomery Ward Club, of which she was president for 20 years, Medical Plaza Traveling Club, St. Luke Walker's Club, Traveling Texas Friends Club and the AARP Club.        Annas gave unconditionally love, compassion and generosity. Her daily life demonstrated Christian character appreciation for the true, the good and the beautiful, wonderful, stimulating and exciting quality of life. All who knew her will greatly miss her.        Her family wishes to express thanks to Theresa Harris and a host of wonderful caretakers. Also, they want to express sincere appreciation to Community Hospice of Texas for the many kindnesses and help she received until her life ended.        Survivors: In addition to her niece, Jan Hall and John, Annas is survived by her great-nieces, Judy Hall Robertson and Heath and their children, Heather and Heath, Jean Jolly and Ed and their daughter, Rosemary Elizabeth; cousins, Mike Carson and Suzanne and Bill Carson and Caroline and their families; and other family members and friends.
