AUDREY BELKNAP

FORT WORTH -- Audrey Moore Belknap died peacefully Wednesday evening, July 29, 2009. Ms. Belknap was 81.        Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. The Rev. John Glover will officiate. Visitation: Ms. Belknap will lie in state Saturday morning where her brother will receive friends after 10 a.m.        Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity of choice is suggested.        A native and lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Audrey was the daughter of Gerald Austin and Audrey Moore Belknap. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in education from Texas Wesleyan College and Texas Christian University.        Audrey retired after 36 years of teaching with the Fort Worth Independent School District. She was a lifelong member of Broadway Baptist Church.        Survivors: In addition to her brother, A. Rudy Belknap of Kansas City, Kan., Audrey is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and their families in Texas, California, Missouri and Kansas; and many former students and friends.
