Barbara Rhoades

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Barbara Ann Rhoades passsed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, after a long and wonderful life as a wife, mother and MeeMaw.    Pallbearers will be Jeremy Omas, Ryan Leonard, David Hughes, Wade McDowell, Kent Bradley and Ken Edwards.   She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Honey Grove. On June 16, 1963, she married Bill Rhoades and spent 47 wonderful years with him.   Bill and Barbara were residents of Hurst for 50 years as well as members of North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Barbara had resided at The Wellington Retirement Community for the past two years and was a blessing to all who knew her.    Barbara was preceded in her passing by her husband, Bill Rhoades; parents, Martin E. and Cordie Dixon Whitlock; sister, Pearl Evans; brothers, Ray "Buster" and Lewis Whitlock; and her precious grandson, David Lee Pearson.       Survivors: Children, Lynn Osadchuk (Gary), Pamela Rea, Cheryle Edwards (Kirk), Lori Malone (John), Billey Rhoades Jr., Elizabeth Rhoades and Penny Napolitan; her extended family, Debbie and Craig Staudt and their children and grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close lifelong friends.
