Barbara Rogers

TROPHY CLUB -- Barbara Rogers, 82, passed from this life Thursday, June 19, 2014. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Medlin Cemetery, Trophy Club. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Barbara's favorite charity, the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas, or charity of choice. Barbara was born in Corpus Christi. She attended San Marcos Baptist Academy, Colorado College and the University of Colorado. Mrs. Rogers graduated from Baylor University and Texas A&I University and was a teacher before marrying James F. Rogers. The couple lived in New Jersey, London, New Mexico and Texas. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, N.M., and several state and national teachers organizations. "Grandmom" will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of 55 years, James F. Rogers; daughter, Jena Himmelheber; son, James R. Rogers; grandsons, Devin Himmelheber and Nathan B. Rogers.
