MORGAN -- Barbara Sumpter, 85, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Interment: Britton Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home. Barbara was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Whizzbank, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Orlee Sumpter; sister, Anna Mae Sumpter; and grandson, Steven Sumpter. Survivors: Children, William "Bill" Orlee Sumpter Jr., Paul Ray Sumpter, Carolyn Marie Ray, all of Morgan; 14 grandkids; six stepgrandkids; 24 great-grandkids; 15 stepgreat-grandkids; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
