FORT WORTH -- William Barrett Payne, 14, passed away Monday evening, April 7, 2008, at his home. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday at Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3740 Birchman Ave. The Rev. Ted Kitchens will officiate. Interment: Barrett will be laid to rest privately in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity of choice, in Barrett's memory, is suggested. A native and lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Barrett was born June 11, 1993, the son of Wally Bond and Ann Scott Payne. He was a student at McLean Middle School where he was a member of the football team. Barrett was a member of Christ Chapel, where he was an active participant in all areas of youth activities. Survivors: In addition to his parents, Barrett is survived by his brother, Winston; grandparents, William Morgan and Jean Scott; aunts and uncles, Susan and Andy Kitchens, William and Sandra Scott, John and Talley Scott, Betty and Robert Watson, Calvin and Beverly Payne, Susan and James Sprinkle and Roger and Sandra Payne; and several cousins.
