Bea Lewellen

GRAPEVINE -- Beatrice C. Lewellen, 91, passed away September 6, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 11 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Visitation: 5-7pm, Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment: 12:30, Thursday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James L West Community Hospice in Fort Worth. http://www.chot.org/ Bea, a resident of Grapevine, born on August 5, 1923 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Jesse and Floy Cabaniss. She was married to Lloyd Lewellen for 52 years. Bea was a member of many volunteer organizations, including Baylor Hospital where she was also a Charter Member for 32 years. She and her husband traveled yearly to Iwo Jima reunions, serving as secretary to the organization. Bea enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. She was a regular at many senior citizen centers and a master at "42". Bea could be faithfully found with friends every Saturday morning at the local Whataburger. She was a lover of all animals, including her beloved "Kimmey". Bea was a member of Colleyville Church of Christ. She was a supportive wife, a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
