Beatrice Roberson

BIG SPRING -- Beatrice Geraldine Roberson, 84, passed away Friday, April 6, 2007. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, with David Arnold, longtime friend and church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Beatrice, known as "Honey" from early childhood, graduated from Woodville High School in 1940, then moved to Wichita, Kan., where she worked for Boeing Aircraft. She later moved to Fort Worth and worked at GD-Lockheed, where she met her husband, Everett, who had just returned from the war in the South Pacific. They married in 1945 and lived most of their lives in Fort Worth. Honey was a wonderful Christian woman, who always had a deep faith in God and would always go out of her way to help others. She loved her family very much and loved to tell everyone about her grandchildren. Even though she had many obstacles to overcome in this life, she was always optimistic and never complained. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. "Rest in Peace, Dear One." Honey was preceded in death by sons, James Dennis Roberson, who died as an infant; and E.C. Roberson, a teacher and coach at Big Spring. Survivors: Son, Bubba Roberson and his wife, Joan of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Davis and Caroline Roberson of Woodstock, Ga., Nick Roberson and his wife, Annie and Brittany Roberson, all of Big Spring; great-grandchildren, Devin and Faith Roberson; sister, Jackie Kirschner of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews.
