FORT WORTH -- Bernie Carb Bronstein, 85, a beloved father, grandfather and brother, died peacefully Thursday evening, April 5, 2007. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Beth-El Congregation, 4900 Briarhaven Road. Burial: Bernie was laid to rest next to his wife, Doris, on Friday, April 6, in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to TCC South Senior Education Memorial Fund or the Environmental Defense Fund, in memory of Bernie, is suggested. A native and life resident of Fort Worth, Bernie was born Sept. 12, 1921. He married Doris Wertheim in 1942 and celebrated 62 years of marriage before her death in 2005. Bernie served in the Army Signal Corps in the China-Burma-India theater during World War II. Following the war, he ran the family grocery business in Fort Worth. Then, for 25 years, he was a store manager and wine consultant for King's Liquor stores. In retirement, Bernie became an avid computer buff and gave many hours to the TCC Computer User Group, where he was a class assistant, mentor, newsletter writer and compiler of discs of helpful information. Survivors: He is survived by his sons, Dale Bronstein and his wife, Antonia, Neil Bronstein and his wife, Jean and David Bronstein and his wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Amy, Philip, Sarah, Bessie, Pauline and Stella; sisters, Fannette Bronstein Sonkin and Mimi Bronstein Klotz and her husband, Hal; and several nieces and nephews.Robertson Mueller Harper Funerals & Cremations 1500 Eighth Ave., 817-924-4233
