Type Obit Here   HURST -- Bertie Lou Cobb, 91, beloved mother to her eight children, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, after a long, hard-fought illness.        Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.        Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.        Memorials: May be made in Bertie's name to the Joy Winsome Class of Shady Oaks Church or to the Macular Degeneration Association, P.O. Box 20256 Sarasota, Fla. 34276.        Bertie was born May 25, 1918, in Lena Station, La., to Robert and Talullah McClellan Beebe. She married Glen R. Cobb on July 20, 1938. Her parents, six siblings and her husband of 49 years preceded her in death. Her dedication to her Lord, family and friends was evident in her everyday life; and her love, warmth, kindness and great sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her well. Rest in peace, Mother, you deserve it more than most.        Survivors: Left to mourn her loss and keep her spirit in our hearts forever are all her blessed children, Wayne Cobb and wife, Joan, of Kennewick, Wash., Terry Cobb and wife, Charlene, of Port Neches, Larry Cobb and wife, Martha, of Nederland, Patricia Taylor and husband, OC, of Cleburne, Linda Still and husband, Mike, of Oxford, Miss., Carroll Cobb of Wood River, Ill., Robert Cobb and wife, Ann, of Houston, and James Bruce Cobb of Hurst; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
