Bessie Ivie

Bessie Mae Ivie, 87, of Kennedale, Texas, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Benbrook Nursing Home. Bessie was born in Dawson, Texas on November 29, 1923, the daughter of Lee and Cordie Cottongame. She married Clint Lewis Ivie in Purdon, Texas on August 5, 1940. Bessie was a homemaker. Bessie is survived by her son, Harry Ivie and wife, Sheila; three grandsons, Johnny Bird, Richard Bird and Rex Ivie; and four great-grandchildren. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ivie; daughter, Doris Stanbery; and grandson, Harry Ivie Jr. She was the last of six brothers and sisters.
