Bessie Mae Sheeley MANSFIELD -- Bessie Mae Sheeley passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008. Funeral: 10 a.m., Monday at Central Baptist Church, Mansfield. Bro. Samuel A. Rowlett, Jr. officiated. Visitation was 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday Sept. 7, at Blessing Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Mark Liberto, Bill Williams, Bill Kemp, Foy Beasley, Guy Melton, and Jimmie Melton. Bessie was born February 13, 1934 in Dragoon, Arizona, the daughter of William H. and Milo Jones Wilson. She married Richard Sheeley on May 5, 1956 in Bryan, Texas. Bessie was an accomplished artist. Her specialty was oil painting. She lovingly painted barns, flowers, birds, and other scenery for her family and friends. Bessie loved the Lord. She worshipped faithfully at Central Baptist Church for 26 years. Her family and church family will deeply miss her. Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Melton,(George); grandchildren, Jennifer Lee, Guy Melton; special friend, Sharon Grimaldo.
