FORESTBURG -- Betty Clark passed away at her home in Forestburg on Friday, May 10, 2013. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Inurment: at a later date. Visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday. Betty Schroeder Clark was born in Urbana, Ill., on Oct. 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Estill B. and Irene Schoenborn Schroeder. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a nuturing, care-free spirit and a zest for life. She was a natural golfer, great softball player and had a great passion to bowl. She loved George Brett and Eyore, but most of all loved her grandkids. Betty made the best waffles and pancakes; mornings will never be the same without her. You could often find her reading or playing her favorite game, solitaire. Betty loved to travel and go on "adventures," but most of all she loved taking care of everyone else. She was preceded in death by her brother Ercil E. "Bill" Schroeder. Survivors: Her husband, Butch "Charlie" Clark; son, Kenny Clark; daughters, Stephanie Roden and Jaclyn Smith; son-in-law, Ken Smith; grandkids, Justin and Kayla Roden, Hope, Samantha and Faith Clark; and siblings, John B. Schroeder (Janet) of Rockwood, Ill., Clara M. Griffey of Joppa, Ill., Esther L. Schroeder (Ron Saviano) of Franklin Park, Ill., Howard J. "Butch" Schroeder (Mary) of Herrin, Ill., Martha J. "Janie" Raines (Dick) of Groveland Ill., George E. "Eddie" Schroeder of Vancouver, Wash., and Helen A. "Susie" Malaise (Curt) of Litchfield Park, Ariz.
