HURST -- Betty Mussleman, 75, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Betty was born Oct. 19, 1934, to Helen and James Rennick in Pilger, Neb. She graduated from Pilger High School and Norfolk (Neb.) Junior College. She traveled to Frankfurt, Germany, in 1955 to marry her fiance, Air Force pilot Gerald. She was a great homemaker, resulting in a warm close family life for her husband and children in their many homes. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and they will greatly miss her gentle encouragement and warm affection. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Husband of 54 years, Gerald Musselman; daughters, Sun Creecy and husband, Jimmy, and Kerri Phillips and husband, Kevin; son, William; granddaughters, Desha Creecy, Kaitlyn Phillips and Kelsey Phillips; grandson, Christopher Creecy, all of the local area; sister, Carol Ordway of Colorado Springs; and nieces, Lynn Warfield of Byron, Mich., and Lea Blanc of Colorado Springs.
