FORT WORTH -- Billie Ruth Prater, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully Sunday morning, Dec. 26, 2010, early in her 84th year. Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at River Oaks United Methodist Church, 4800 Ohio Garden Drive. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Visitation: Family and friends will gather at the church on Wednesday to share laughter and tears from noon to 1 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions designated for the PDO Fund at River Oaks United Methodist Church, is suggested Born in Cleburne on Dec. 1, 1926, Billie was raised in Joshua, where she graduated from high school. She was the daughter of H. K. and Josie Lawson Davidson. Billie was a longtime member of River Oaks United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was instrumental in starting the Parent's Day Out program. She was also active in the 36th Division Women's Auxiliary for World War II veterans. Survivors: In addition to her son, Fred Tolleson, Billie is survived by her daughters, Ranelle Davidson and Gary, and Rita Phillips and Gary; grandchildren, Ashley Davidson Keyes and Chris, Allison Davidson and Lori O'Donley Rohloff and Brad; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jared and Hayden; and nieces and nephews and their families.
