Billy Rivers Edwards KELLER -- Billy Rivers Edwards went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009.        Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Keller. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller.        He was a graduate of Aledo High School and a longtime resident of Parker County. Billy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, graduated from Texas A&M University and sang his way into the hearts of many country-western fans. He retired after 30 years from Pilgrim's Pride. Billy was known for his lifelong love of country, loyalty to his home state of Texas and his Methodist faith.        Billy is remembered for his gentleness, his integrity and his beautiful voice.        He was preceded in death by his parents, E.W. and Maude Edwards; brothers, James and Earl; sister, Marcia; his wife, Nellie Hogan Edwards; and granddaughters, Anthea Noel and Tiffany Danielle.        Survivors: Billy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Donna Sewell Edwards; daughters, Kathy Edwards of Austin, Linda Gayle Edwards of Fort Worth, Darlene Edwards Dean of Mineral Wells; son-in-law, Larry Dean; and grandson, Marc Clapp of Austin; stepsons, Monty Sewell, Shawn Sewell and Durke Sewell from Georgia; stepdaughter, Nicole Sewell of Euless; sister-in-law, Mrs. James Edwards of Joshua; and many treasured friends.
