Type Obit Here    AURORA -- Billy Charles Melbourn, 69, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 15, 2011.        Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Peter Lutheran Church, 15701 Cleveland Gibbs Rd., Roanoke. Pastor Robert Balduc will officiate. Interment will follow in Birdville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.        Billy Charles, the son of Richard and Pearl Bewley Melbourn, was born March 5, 1942, in Birdville. He was a 1960 graduate of Birdville High School and received his BA degree from Texas Christian University. He and Marie were married June 3, 1964. They were former members of Peace Lutheran, where Billy and his granddaughter, Clarissa, were both baptized on Father's Day in 2006. He retired from NCR Corporation after 36 years. An avid bridge player with his church groups, he also enjoyed sharing time with family, friends and his dogs.        Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Marie; son, Steven Melbourn and wife, Linda; daughter, Karen Kotera and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Nathan, Gillian and Clarissa Kotera, Brittany and Brian Norris; and close friends, Ron and Susie Pyle.
