NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Billy Jack Moore, 73, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at a local hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gateway Church, 2121 E. Southlake Blvd. The Rev. Gene Carter, pastor, will officiate. Interment: Following a committal service, Billy will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor his memory with gifts in his name to the American Cancer Society 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Billy was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Roby to H.F. and Lula Mae Pounders Moore. Billy graduated from North Side High School Fort Worth in 1952. He earned his degree from Texas A&M in 1956. He was a retired petroleum engineer for the Bureau of Mines in Amarillo, having served as general manager. Billy honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of lieutenant. One of his favorite pastimes was playing golf. Survivors: Left to mourn Billy's death as they cherish their special memories are his wife of 49 years, Charlene; son, Greg Reynolds of Fort Worth; daughters, Rhonda LaGrove and her husband, Steve, of San Antonio and Gina Henry and her husband, Carl, of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Stuart Reid LaGrove, Lacy LaGrove, Landon Henry, Logan Henry and Laina Henry; and brothers, Bobby Joe Moore and Lynn Moore and his wife, Eloise.
