HURST -- Billy Leo Truly, 83, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Hurst, 521 W. Pipeline Road. Interment: 11 a.m. Saturday in Coolidge Cemetery in Coolidge. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Leo Truly was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Hubbard to the late Homer and Doris Truly. He married his wife of over 62 years, Dorothy K. Wood, on Sept. 11, 1949. They lived in Fort Worth, Hillsboro and 49 years in Hurst. Leo was a gradute of Hubbard High School and attended Tehuacana Junior College. He started his career in the grocery business and after many years of service with Bell Helicopter he retired in 1995. He was also the owner and operator of Rainbarrel Plants. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hurst, where he was a former president of the Harvesters Sunday School Class and enjoyed ushering for a number of years. Leo was a 50-year member of Handley Masonic Lodge, Fort Worth Scottish Rite and Moslah Shrine. Leo loved fishing, hunting, creating yard art and spending time with his family. He loved to tell a story or a joke and was a friend to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors: Wife, Dorothy; son, David Truly and wife, Christy; daughters, Carolyn Morrow and husband, Glenn, and Kathy Milburn and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Michael Truly and wife, Natalie, Kayla Hartweg and husband, Beau, Brandon Morrow, Kelley Milburn and Brian Morrow; great-grandson, Kepler Hartweg; brother, Charles Truly; and numerous other family members and friends.
