NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Bobby Joe Dowdy, 58, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Bobby will be interred in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Bobby was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a general manager in manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Louise Dowdy; his stepfather, Floyd Harrison; and a brother, William C. Dowdy. Survivors: His wife, Barbara Dowdy; son, Stephen Dowdy; brothers, James Dowdy and family, John Dowdy and family; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
