Bobby Elrod

MANSFIELD -- Bobby Elrod, 61, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, in Tampa, Fla.  Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, in the Blessing Funeral Home Colonial Chapel, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home.  Bobby was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Fort Worth. He spent most of his adult life in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Elrod and Robbie Stansberry Elrod; uncle and aunt, Olin and Edith Farmer, whom Bobby lived with as a teenager and most of his adult life; and his brother, Tommy Owens.  Survivors: Sons, Robert Elrod and wife, Michele, Edward Elrod, all of Tampa, Fla.; granddaughter, Brooke Elrod of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Marshall "Woochie" Elrod and wife, Charlotte of Mansfield; three nieces; and one nephew.
