Boyce Byers

EULESS -- Mrs. Boyce Rae Byers passed away Thursday, Decemeber 11, 2008 at a local Hospital.        Funeral: Saturday, December 13, 2008, 10 am at the First United Methodist Church of Euless. Visitation: Friday 6pm-8pm at Lucas Hurst Funeral Home. Interment: Calloway Cemetery Euless, Tx.        Mrs. Byers, in her lifetime was involved in a multitude of community projects including being a member of the PTA, Euless Park & Rec. Board, Euless Public Library Board, Euless Garden Club and Euless Police and Fire Citizen Academy and in 2005 recieved the Lifetime Community Volunteer Award. Mrs. Byers served on the church board and was a former Sunday school teacher. Boyce also served on the Historic Preservation board and was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the American Red Cross. She thoroughly enjoyed her dogs Kobe and Gus. Boyce was preceeded in death by her parents Joe Cook and Beatrice Bohn and her brother J.W. Cook.        She is survived by her husband: Billy L. Byers of Euless, Sons: David and wife Shirley of Decatur, Randy and wife Terry of Euless, Bill and wife Faye of Mililani,HI. Sister: Betty Mosley of Jefferson. Grandchildren: Greg, David, Brett, Tricia, Brandon, Shawn, Krista, Ruth, Rebecca, Sam, Cara, Jordan and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.        In Lieu of Flowers Family request memorials to First United Methodist Church of Euless, Texas.
