CEDAR HILL -- Brandon Riley Gilbreath Taylor chose to leave this life Tuesday, May 20, 2008, leaving behind the unbearable pain he kept in his heart for 22 years. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Interment: Southland Cemetery, Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home. "Back in His Mother's Arms" Our young man has gone to be with his mother who was mercilessly taken from him when he was just 7 years old. Our hearts are comforted that his mother was there to greet him when he drifted from our world into paradise. Brandon was born to John and Darla Taylor on June 6, 1978, in Arlington. Brandon graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1997. He joined the Marine Corps in 1997 but was honorably discharged after an injury prevented him from sniper training and dashed his dream of fighting for his country in Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darla Jalyne Taylor; grandmother, Atileen Taylor; grandfather, James Frank Gilbreath; and Uncle David Richards. Survivors: He leaves behind his father, John and his wife, Linda; sisters, Katelynn, Courtney, and Autumn Benevidez; stepbrother, Joshua Dunn; grandfather, Bill and his wife, Georgia; Aunt Rene Richards; Uncle David and Aunt Cheryl Taylor; Aunt Elizabeth Brisendine; grandmother, Lois Gilbreath; Uncle Donnie Gilbreath; Aunt Trina and Uncle David Hale; and Aunt Tina Braun.
