HARTWELL, GA. -- Carlos E. Valerio, 76, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the home of his daughter in Hartwell, Ga. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Carlos, the son of Pablo and Rafaella Guevara Valerio, was born Jan. 12, 1936, in La Rosita. He served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 30 years as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Valerio. "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall not pass this way again." Survivors: He is survived by his children and their spouses, Dianne Lane and Joey, Cindy Sulsh and Ray, Catherine Rene Hernandez and Angel, Christie Peel, Brett Mouton, Barry Mouton and Mindi, Michael Mouton and Candi, Mark Mouton and Terri, Josh Valerio; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Valerio and Terry; sister, Hilda Salinas and Reuben.
