Carol Ann Menifee, 63, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2006. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Blessing Colonial Chapel, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home. Memorials: Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75244. Carol was born Nov. 6, 1942, in San Antonio. She lived her childhood in San Antonio and then went to Southwest Texas State University. She danced in the Strutters Dance Club and had the opportunity to perform at John F. Kennedy's inauguration. Carol married Wayne T. Menifee, also from San Antonio, on June 19, 1964. Carol became an educator for Mansfield ISD as a sixth-grade English teacher. She was later a vice principal at Glenn Harmon Elementary and retired as principal at Erma Nash Elementary. She was also a devoted wife, loyal friend and a very giving mother. Her interests were books, children and travel. She will be missed by all. Survivors: Husband of 42 years, Wayne T. Menifee; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Steve Graves; son and daughter-in-law, David and Stacy Menifee; and grandchildren, Luke, Mollie and William Graves and Jack and Drew Menifee.
