Cary James Ward from Salado, Texas, went home to be with
the LORD on Monday afternoon, June 15, 2009.
Cary died in a nursing home in Keller, Texas, his
hometown, from complications of Huntington's disease.
Cary was born on September, 18, 1962, in Grapevine,
Texas, to Gaylon and Gladella Ward. Both parents, plus a
brother, David, and sister, Marsha Worrell, preceded him in
deaqth.
Surviving him are his three children, Garret, Hunter,
and Meredith, all of Salado and their mother, Regina. Also,
a sister, Connie Miller and family of Haltom City, nephew,
Derek Worrell and family, niece, Kimberly Worrell of Keller.
Cary attended school in Keller and was recruited by the
Baylor Bears in 1981 as an ALL STATE tight-end. He played
for Grant Teaff from 1981-1986. He received a BBA in
Business Administration from Baylor in 1986.
Cary moved to Salado in 1996. He helped coach little
