Charles “Chuck” Garcia

KELLER -- Charles H. Garcia, 57, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, in Lawrenceville, Ga. ??? Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Lucas & Thompson Funeral Home in Keller. Burial: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. ??? Chuck was born June 11, 1948, in Pontiac, Mich., to the late Gregory T. Garcia and Mary C. Garcia. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967, serving a distinguished tour in Vietnam, which preceded his honorable discharge in late 1971. In early 1970, he married Sandy Velez and magnificently raised two sons and a daughter. Professionally, Chuck served as vice president of sales for Detroit Diesel Corp., culminating 25 years of committed service. Since April 2002, he was employed as director of network development and parts sales for Deutz Corp. in Norcross, Ga., where he led its efforts in growing their sales and service throughout the United States and Canada. ??? Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Marlo S. Garcia. ??? Survivors: Sons, Phillip and Nicholas Garcia and their mother, Sandy Garcia; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Tom Knippen; granddaughter, Susan Abbott; and many nephews and nieces.
