Charles Jorden

HURST -- Charles Wesley Jorden, Jr., 88, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 7, 2011. Memorial Service: Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, 4:30 p.m. First United Methodist Church, Hurst, TX. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church - Youth Mission Trip Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1461, Hurst, TX 76053. Chuck was born October 14, 1923 in Millvale, PA. He was married to Betty Jane Brinkman for 69 years. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942-1945 as a fighter pilot instructor and served in the Reserves until 1957. He worked for Aeroquip, retiring in 1986. Chuck always knew whose he was and to whom he would return. He was a man of faith who lived his life as a witness to God. To all, Chuck's final words are "keep smiling". Survivors: Loving wife, Betty Jane; daughters, Kathleen Alvarez-McCloskey (Neil), Pamilyn Bates (Robert), Karen Murphy (Leonard), and Patrice Waldren (Dale); 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
