Charles Neal Stephens

HURST -- Charles Neal Stephens passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church. Memorials: The family request donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church, American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer's Association. Charles Neal Stephens was born on May 10, 1926, to Elmer and Eula Grace Stephens in Drumright, Oklahoma. He served his country in World War II in the Army Air Corp. In 1955, he married Evelyn Doretta Sump at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Worth. He was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; parents Elmer and Eula Grace; sisters, Dean Pate, Kay Lovejoy, Opal Butler, Patricia Vestal, and Candy Butler; brothers, Kenneth Stephens, Dale Stephens and Mike Stephens. Survivors: His daughters, Grace White and husband Joel, LaDonna Schowobel and husband Mark, and Pam Worthen and husband Karl; grandchildren, Kara White, Melissa Wood and husband Chris, Kaitlyn White, Elizabeth Schwobel, Evan Charles Schwobel, Erik Worthen and Laura Worthen; great grandchild, Jack Wood; sisters, Betty Baker, Mary Villejo; and brother Bill Stephens.
