CHICO -- Clarence Martin Steward Jr., beloved son, father and brother, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in Dallas. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Birdville Baptist Church, Haltom City. Interment: Bourland Cemetery, Keller. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Mart was born in Fort Worth on Dec. 18, 1957, to Norma and Clarence Steward. Mart graduated from Keller High School in 1976. He worked at Cypress Gardens in Winterhaven, Fla., while attending Pope Community College. He received his associate degree in business from Tarrant County College. Mart was an associate of Steward Stevenson Sales, a manufacturer's representative company founded by his father, Clarence. He left Steward Stevenson Sales in 2005 to pursue his passion of raising animals, hunting, fishing and traveling. He was currently living in Chico at his "farm." He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Steward, and his constant companion, "Cowboy." Survivors: Mother, Norma Steward; children, Amanda and Cody; the love of his life, Patti; brothers, Phil and Jason; and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
