Clayton Lagree West

Krugerville Clayton Pete Lagree West, 80, of Krugerville, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 in Pilot Point. He was born September 21, 1928 in Hamilton to Collier Lagree and Ruth Cleveland (Stanford) West. He married Myra Ann Lawrence on January 30, 1954 in Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1947 and received his Masters in Education from North Texas State College. He was the Superintendent of Schools for Morgan ISD in Bosque County, then later for Aubrey ISD for 15 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of First Baptist Church in Aubrey for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Myra West of Krugerville; two sons, Carson L. West of Bartlesville, OK, and Edward L. West of Hull, England; and two daughters, Teresa West Mancuso of Katy and Kathleen West Thompson of Gloucester, VA. He is also survived by one sister, Jeanne Blevins of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Clinton West, Melinda West, Rodney Mancuso, Kathrine Mancuso Pittman, Kaitlin Thompson, Marilyn Thompson, Eamonn West and Aisling West; three great-grandchildren, Adriana Pittman, Eden Pittman and Alexander Pittman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Norman West. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Aubrey - Youth Ministry, P.O.
