Costanza Meffen

ARLINGTON -- Costanza "Connie" Meffen went to be with our Lord on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Recitation of the rosary: 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Connie was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Avellino, Italy, to Nicola and Lucia Ferragamo. In 1954 she traveled to Worcester, England, where she met her loving husband of 50 years, Edward. They moved to Italy in 1960 where they lived until moving to Texas in 1974. Connie was a loving caregiver at the Mansfield Nursing Home for 23 years. She loved to cook and watch wrestling and taking care of her family. Connie was a very loving and giving person, who would help anyone in need, and she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
