HURST -- Curtis Lee McKnight Sr. passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at home after a lengthy illness. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Dr. Johnny Wallace will officiate. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth. Masonic services by Hurst Masonic Lodge 1387. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of technical sergeant after serving in Europe and Vietnam. He also retired from the Dallas/Fort Worth Department of Public Safety. Curtis was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. In later years he enjoyed his backyard birds. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and was past master of Hurst Lodge 1387 AF & AM. He was also past master of Eugene Green D/FW Lodge 1441. He was a member of Southside Commandery 83.
