KELLER -- Daisy Bob Wright passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller, with Dr. David Harbour officiating. Interment: Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 860 Keller-Smithfield Road N., Keller, Texas 76248. Daisy was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Quanah to Authur and Alice Booth. She was raised in Phoenix, Ariz., and lived many years in San Antonio before moving to Keller in 1992. She was a faithful member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church for the past 14 years and never missed an opportunity to invite those she met to visit her church. Daisy lived her life to the fullest and was never afraid to try anything. After retiring in 1974, she became an avid craftsman, artist, jewelry maker, wood worker, painter and quilter and also poured and fired ceramics. She was a very witty, generous, caring, kind-hearted person, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone with a need. Daisy loved her Lord, her family, her church and her many neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Wright; and two sons, John Bell and Jessie Wright. Survivors: Sister, Sandi Ashton, of Spokane, Wash.; son, Jim Wright and his wife, Laura Wright, of Shelby, Mich.; daughter, Florence Roth and her husband, David, of Keller; and 11 grandchildren.
