Daniel Dewey,

Daniel Lee Dewey, Jr., of Duncanville, born August 3, 1951 went to be with the Lord at the age of 58 on Friday, October 9, 2009. Danny was a man of God that loved his guitar, loved to watch car racing and football, but most importantly loved his family, and especially his five grandchildren. Danny married the love of his life, Karen, on August 24, 1973, and they were married for 36 years, together raising 3 children. Danny worked for Miller of Dallas for 19 years, and was most recently employed with Capital One in Plano for 8 years. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Dan Dewey. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his daughter Shelley Freeman and her husband Mike of Mansfield; his daughter Stephanie Dewey of Plano; and his son Daniel Dewey and his wife Pam of Allen. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren that will very much miss their Papa: Preston, Ian, Logan, Kathryn, and Elizabeth. Danny was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be missed very much. A gathering of family and friends will follow at South Oaks Baptist Church.
