Daniel Henry

DENTON -- Daniel Michael "Dan" Henry, 27, beloved son, brother, friend, teacher, physicist and actor, has traveled his final steps of this earth and has voyaged forward to the heavens to shine brightly in the cosmos. Daniel Henry passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008. He was a light in our lives, a shining star who will be forever remembered in our hearts. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Dan was a University of North Texas physics doctoral student who took great joy in presenting his astronomy lectures to those who ventured to see beyond the required course and peer into the cosmos that was the core of Dan's intellectual pursuits. His world also consisted of gaming, comics and being a cast member where he enjoyed playing various parts with Los Bastardos, the Dallas-Fort Worth area Shadow Cast for The RHPS. He will be remembered for his incredible intelligence, his sense of humor and most of all, for his kindness to his fellow human beings. Dan's life in this world was too short for us who loved him dearly, but it is long for his new journey. Survivors: Dan is the loving son of Betty Pawul Baxley and her husband, David, of Grapevine; and a true friend and brother to David L. Henry of Watauga. He is also survived by his father, John Henry of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; his aunt, Bernadette Pawul Boutier of Grapevine; stepbrother, Micha Baxley of Roanoke; grandparents, Frank and Betty Pawul; uncles, Frank, Gregory, Michael and David Pawul, all of Washington state. His cousins, Rebecca, Emily, Lauren, Mike and Frank of Washington, Bryan Smith of Arlington, Anthony Smith of Maryland and Rachel and Andrew of Grapevine will all remember summers at the grandparents in Washington, lying on the grass, star gazing and wondering . . .
