Dave Warehime, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 13, 2015 in Southlake. Visitation: Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. With his passing, Dave has been remembered well. He has been called a gentle giant, great friend, one of a kind, a blessing to some, lover of life, generous, forgiving, and kind. He lived well and was loved by many who knew him across the years in many capacities. He had many loves, first among these his wife Lois whom he often told “you’ve stayed with me through thick and thin”. They shared a wonderful life, even through adversity and his many health challenges over the years. His other loves were his cats, and he sported a wardrobe of Kliban signature cat tee shirts, for which he was well known. Golf perhaps should be higher on the list of loves; those who shared the love of golf with him understand the conflict. As a cable TV veteran from its earliest days, Dave loved TV and was committed to subscribing to every service available, even though his favorites were the network police procedurals. He met his wife through the cable TV business. The exact circumstances of that first encounter in Greenville, SC remained a source of great laughter over the years. He travelled well and often, both with the company of old friends and often making new ones in the process. Food was a source of pleasure for Dave too, whether Buffalo wings or fine dining cuisine with a great bottle of wine followed by a good cigar. He was gifted with a devoted circle of friends that cared very much for him. His was a life well lived; he will be greatly missed. Survivors: Dave is survived by his loving wife, Lois M. Warehime.
