David W. Bodkins

 MANSFIELD -- David W. Bodkins, 62, went to be with Jesus following a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006.  Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday in Blessing Colonial Chapel.  David was born Aug. 21, 2944, in Denton. He retired from Surgikos and the City of Grand Prairie Lake Parks Department. Mr. Bodkins was preceded in death by his parents, AJ and Vera Katherine; and brother, Jerry. He will be missed. Gone fishin'.  Survivors: wife, Georgia; daughters, Melanie, Gigi, Jennifer and Trisha; sister, Shirley Wren; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
