David Copeland

FORT WORTH -- David C. "Dave" Copeland, 40, was called by the Lord as one of his angels on Sunday, March 2, 2008, after a long battle with brain cancer. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Gateway Church in Southlake. David was born Aug. 10, 1967, to Charles and Pauline Copeland. He graduated from Northwest High School and then served in the United States Army from 1986 until 1994. He joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1992 and received numerous commendations while serving the citizens of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles. Survivors: Wife, Eloise; children, Nathan and Elizabeth; mother, Pauline; sisters, Jennifer and Lisa; two nieces; one nephew; and many members of the Fort Worth Police Department who considered him to be a brother and a friend.
