FORT WORTH -- Debra Michelle Jackson, 50, of Fort Worth passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, at a local hospital. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson Ave., Burleson. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association or Vitas Charity Fund in memory of Debra M. Jackson. Debra was born April 4, 1959, in Waxahachie to Harvie and Helen Stindt Jamison. In her youth, Debra was active in the Texas Girls' Choir and traveled around the world bringing joy to many people. She was an avid reader and never passed up opportunities to learn new things. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother who dedicated the last years of her life to spending time with her grandchildren. Debra was a soulful spirit whose compassion for others was evident in everything she did. She was a warm, caring, giving person who always maintained an upbeat attitude, even in the face of numerous personal trials. She was a source of inspiration to those around her because of her amazing strength in the face of adversity. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren and she will always be remembered as an icon of strength and compassion. Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Jamison. Survivors: Her son, David William Moxley of Burleson; daughter, Rachel Martinez and husband, Arthur, of Hurst; grandchildren, Lauren and Rhelynn; father, Harvie Jamison and wife Mary of Coppell; mother, Helen Jamison of Burleson; brother, Bryan Jamison and wife, Kelli, of Burleson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins,nieces and nephews.
