Deffie Jauna Holder Davis, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 Service: 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, at First Baptist Church Keller, 225 Keller Pkwy., Keller. Pastor Keith Sanders will officiate. Interment: 10 a.m. Friday in Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Deffie was born May 7, 1930, in Gomez, to Robert Walter and Lou Kate Holder. She was the youngest of seven children. She grew up in Meadow, where she graduated from high school as valedictorian, and was later a graduate of Draught's Business School in Lubbock. On Sept. 3, 1950, she married Sherril Don Davis at First Baptist of Meadow. Deffie and Sherril raised their four children in Seminole, Midland, Lubbock, and Arlington.
